PCCL Snow Removal Program
What is it?
Parkdale Cromdale Community League is partnering with The City of Edmonton to start a snow removal program for the 2018-2019 season. This program is mainly intended for residents experiencing mobility barriers. Since funding is limited, please be respectful and nominate houses in the most need.
Who is eligible?
Residents of the Parkdale Cromdale Community. You can find our neighbhourhood boundaries here.
Residents who live in detached or semi-detached homes (owner or tenant) for which they are responsible for snow removal.
Residents who do not currently have access to any other resources for snow removal.
Residents who demonstrate a need for snow removal assistance. (Seniors, residents with mobility barriers)
Unoccupied Houses which have been issued warnings/tickets by City of Edmonton Complaints and Investigations section for failure to remove snow/ice.
How does it work?
Removal services will be provided between January 2019 to March 2019.
Snow will be cleared on 2cm+ accumulation.
Not all houses nominated will be serviced at every snowfall.
Only public sidewalk, and pathway to the house from the main side walk will be serviced
Only sand/gravel will be used for ice mitigation
Property owners are still ultimately responsible for keeping sidewalk clear of ice and snow within reasonable time after snowfall, even if the houses are enrolled in PCCL snow removal program.
