We would like to invite you to join in Quarters Arts’ first arts initiative of the season and signature event: GLOW Parade and Festival. Featuring enormous lanterns hand-made by the community, GLOW creates an illuminated night parade that will weave through the neighborhoods of Boyle Street, the Quarters and downtown.
Since 2013, Quarters Arts has hosted free arts programming in the Quarters Downtown and Boyle Street, welcoming more 1800 participants. Our pride and joy is GLOW, Edmonton’s first walking lantern parade which takes place during the Spring Equinox. This year our theme is “Migration,” and the flora and fauna that inhabit our natural and urban landscapes. GLOW has resulted in many beautiful and magical moments of community collaboration through art and craft, engaging the diverse demographic of the Boyle Street neighborhood. Please take a moment to view our festival page: GLOW
Quarters Arts is a community driven, non-profit society committed to creating opportunities and inclusive spaces within our community so that all Albertans can share in the joy of artistic expression. This year our priority is to build relationships with more of the individuals and groups that add to the historic and artistic vibrancy of our community. As our neighbour, we recognize how our communities are connected and believe that through partnerships much can be achieved. Please visit our website at http://www.quartersarts.com/
