There may not be racing on Father’s Day but that shouldn’t stop you from taking your dad out for a fun filled evening at the track on Friday June 16th for Park After Dark. Located close to the track so you never miss a horse race while you guys are busy enjoying Edmonton’s Biggest patio party with music, drinks, games, and exciting casino games.

Sloppy Hoggs Roed Hus

Nothing will make your father feel like himself then letting him let go and eat like a pig or in this case a hogg.  Sloppy Hoggs is nothing but fall off the bone goodness; a meat lover’s heaven. All the meats are smoked low and slow to lock in the juices and leave incredible flavors in your mouth.  Treat your dad to a feast of all the best meats with the game day platter, 1 lb. Pulled pork, full rack St. Louis side ribs 1 lb. Brisket with BBQ Au jus, ½ smoked chicken. Be careful though he may end up in a meat coma after this meal.

Go explore nature. Kinnaird Ravine is one of Edmonton’s Best kept hidden Gems. Connecting to Edmonton’s River Valley Kinnaird Ravine will leave you breathless with its beauty. Take your father on a picturesque hike or bike ride along its winding trails filled with community painted murals. Checkout the wild (edible) chestnuts that line the paths; you might even see one of the beavers that call Kinnaird home.

One of Edmonton’s oldest and most used parks. Borden Park has recently got some big upgrades that include lots of public art and sculptures for your father to enjoy. Have a lazy afternoon picnic at one of many picnic sites located around the park. Fancy a game of Tennis you can do that too. Borden Park will make for a memorable Father’s Day. Maybe you will get lucky and have a chance to listen to a free concert at the parks amphitheatre.
